Beginner - Pre-reader

The beginning series is for children ages 3 - 5 that have little to no piano experience.  These books are for children that can sit still, follow simple directions, count, sing the alphabet, and shows interest in reading.  Depending on the age of the child, they should be able to complete all six books in 1 or 2 school years.  This level comes in 3 sub-levels, A, B, and C.  Each sub-level should be purchased as needed.

The student is also expected to bring a notebook and pencil to each lesson.

- buying a piano -

Do not spend more than $100 - $300

  The piano must have weighted keys

The piano does not have to be full size (88 keys)

If it is a used piano, ask for a history of when it has been tuned and if it has been repaired in the past

You can get a great piano tuner recommendation from a local church

If you have any questions, make sure to contact the teacher before purchasing
